Brno Patchwork Meeting is an international textile and creative exhibition and the largest showcase of combined textile techniques in Central and Eastern Europe. Every year, it presents hundreds of wall quilts by more than 300 authors from around the world, as well as a selection of Czech works.

The sales section features specialty shops with a wide range of fabrics, sewing machines, tools, yarns, decorations, and designer clothing. Visitors have a unique opportunity to consult with experts and try out the latest technologies and materials.

The fair also includes quilt competitions in three categories: creative, classic, and visitor. The themes for this year are:

  • Creative – 50 shades
  • Classic – Sewing on paper
  • Visitor – general categories Czech quilt and International quilt

The 18th BPM will also offer a wide range of courses: 3D Flowers, Embroidery with Felt, Invisible Hand Applique, Textile Manipulation, Music on Canvas, Textile Jewellery, Sashiko, Boro, Own Initial – Introduction to Linocut, Dodekagons, Faux Mola, Watercolour Portraits, Mandala, Messengers of Spring, Drawings and Images on Sewing Machine, Curves Simply, Small Owls, Start Free Motion Quilting, Quilted Feathers, Quilting with Top Feed, Small Vintage Bear.

The artistic director of the exhibition is Jana Štěrbová, a renowned author of modern wall quilts and a member of BPK, SAQA, and Patchwork Gilde Deutschland.
