✏️ What are APLIQUICK®™ pencils used for?
APLIQUICK®™ pencils are specifically designed to draw appliqué shapes precisely on APLIQUICK®™ interfacing.
They are an essential tool in the following steps of the appliqué process:
✅ 1. Drawing the appliqué pieces on the interfacing
They are used on the adhesive side of the interfacing (the side that is ironed onto the fabric).
Thanks to their fine and precise line, they allow tracing the design without needing to mirror the image.
🔍 Technical features of APLIQUICK® pencils
The pencils have been specially developed for use in the patchwork appliqué technique, and they have the following features:
✏️ Soft lead: Allows a defined line without damaging or tearing the adhesive side of the interfacing.
✏️ Visible grey color: Contrasts well on the adhesive surface of the interfacing, but does not stain the fabric or interfere with the final result.
✏️ No pressure needed: A light stroke is enough to mark the shape; this prevents the interfacing from deteriorating.
✏️ Easily sharpenable: Ensures fine lines for small details.
✏️ Does not transfer to the fabric: It only marks the interfacing, so it does not affect the right side of the fabric when ironing or sewing.
